Saturday saw the AGM and Awards Ceremony take place after club. A glorious sunny day, encouraged over a hundred riders to take part in the club activities.
Club secretary Bob Griffiths spoke at length to explain the current standing of the club, which is both healthy and expanding, and was excited at the prospect of an up and coming batch of talented riders who were successfully competing in all disciplines. The club, through its continued purchase of new equipment, maintains its commitment to all riders both competitive and non-competitive, and is determined to assist with riding skills and techniques in all age groups.
New committee member Mick Clemence spoke about expanding club activities beyond Saturday training sessions, which include rides on Sunday mornings, midweek sessions and up and coming rides with Andrew and Stephen Griffiths.
The meeting was followed by a club curry organised by Andy White. Thanks Andy.
The following were awards given by the club coaches:
Milo Gorman and Anthony Harvey were both awarded Jack Petchey Awards, Anthony also won the best attendance award.
Finally, pictured are the Dream Team, Bob, Julie and the committee. Thanks to them for all their efforts throughout the year. Thanks to Andrew and Stephen Griffiths for the training sessions they often give and to Oli Rossi for delivering the trophies. A big thanks to all the parents who cart the kids around to training, races and events, who wash the kit but not the bikes. Well done to all the kids who either race or ride for fun, without you there would be no LVYCC.
