A weekend of racing…

A busy weekend of cross saw LVYCC riders compete in the London and Eastern Leagues.

In the London league at Gunpowder Park 12 riders rode on a fantastically fast course. The standout performances saw Owen Williams take 2nd in the U10s, & Lexie White was first girl in the Under 12s, with new riders Lukas, Eden, Molly and Eilidh working really hard and finishing well. Lewis Bulley, in one of his first races, performed well to finished 6th in the U14s.

Youth – 12th (U14 – 6th) Lewis Bulley , 15th (U14 – 8th) Callum Mackie, 16th (U14 – 9th) James Ambrose-Parish
Under 12 – 7th Felix Mackie, 11th (1st girl) Lexie White, 16th Callum Bulley
Under 10 – 2nd Owen Williams, 9th Lukas Hartel, 17th Murdo White, 18th Eden Hamilton, 19th (4th Girl) Molly Drew, 24th (6th Girl) Eilidh White

Round 10 of the Eastern league was staged at Fakenham, a long drive, but well worth the trip. As the league draws to a close, the battle for points saw a really strong field line up for the youth race. A surprising course, seemed to favour the bigger more physical riders, however, LVYCC put on a great display, with 5 of the top ten from our club. The riders displayed great technique and determination to tackle really high hurdles and an unforgivable hill.

The veterans race saw Tony and Mick have another ding-dong battle, with Tony coming out on top this time

Youth  – 5th James Madgwick, 6th Matthew Madgwick, 8th (U14 – 1st) Georg Jensen, 9th Tom Yiangou, 10th  Matt Clements, 20th Harry Chavner, DNF William Warre.

Veteran  – 31st Tony Madgwick, 33rd Mick Clements

That's where the club hover boots went!
