Meet the coaches

Andy White has been coaching at lvycc for 9 years, he rides both road and mtb
He currently also coaches bmx at hackney and mile end. He coaches part time at the Lee Valley Velopark , Track, BMX and Road
He has 3 children at the club Lexie Murdo & Eilidh
Level 2 Road, Time Trial, Track, BMX, MTB qualified

Paul Soor has had a personal interest in cycling from childhood but in later life became a club cyclist with LVCC and of course LVYCC. He commutes to work by bike, often leads club runs with LVCC, is a road race organiser, enjoys MTB and in 2013 successfully completed the London-Edinburgh-London ride. Paul is LVYCC’s fastest, strongest and most skilled Indian cycling coach ever 😉

Kate Ambrose Is the Coach coordinator She is interested in getting more girls into cycling and mentors the girls in the club. She has ridden bikes all her life. Rides Road , MTB, Commutes on a bike. Best moment was riding a team pursuit on the first outing on a track bike at Herne Hill, and testing out her sprint legs. Worst was riding a cyclocross race as the LVYCC team had to have a woman rider (or that’s what Bob said) She coaches on the road circuit and at the velodrome.
Level 2 & Track qualified

Sean Kerrigan has been a club cyclist since 1973 so 40 years a cyclist. Used to average 8-10,000 miles a year now it’s more like 2,000 miles. Make regular trips to Tour de France (great to see Froomie in yellow ) and the Classics and possibly the only coach to ever see the great Eddy Mercx race ?

Bruce Mackie races Cyclo-Cross, Road & TTs but mostly rides a mountain bike when not pinning a number on. Can occasionally be found riding a road bike if there are mountains involved. Grimmest moment, broken bones aside, was being dragged onto the podium at the 2007 Etape du Tour, to be interviewed by French TV, whilst being sick.

Colin Parish raced road and track as a schoolboy. Runs Marathons very slowly. Road John O Groats to Lands End in 2007 . Road up Mont Ventoux summer 2013. Rides road ,MTB, track, cyclocross and commutes for fun.

Sam Muna has a keen interest in riding both Road and MTB’s. Commutes on a bike and specializes in falling off bikes. Sam enjoys most sports and currently devotes some of his free time to running and playing club squash. He has two children (Jacob and Celeste) who also attend LVYCC.
