Continued success for Carys and Anna, while Leo takes the title

Greetings from a windy Assen.

The LVYCC riders have continued to have a great week of racing, though now, 5 days in, the fatigue is starting to show.  That’s just the parents.

Carys Lloyd rode to a fantastic second  place yesterday in the Category 3 time trial, clocking a superb 8 minutes 33 seconds for the 4km course.

Meanwhile, sister Anna has continued her assault on the GC standings in Category 1 and an excellent 3rd place in today’s Omloop race puts her just 8 seconds behind the leader.

The Aspiranten categories have concluded today and Leo Bolton has held on to take the win in the MTB contest, in which he’s held the leader’s red jersey from day one.  Well done Leo.

Here’s a winning smile from the champion!

Racing concludes on Saturday with the tradition crit around the campsite, with the first race starting at a somewhat-less-than-friendly 8am…
