We now have points collected from three LVYCC Races – 1 road race and two mountain bikes races. Forty two different riders have so far taken part, and there’s still time for more to get involved and try and get some points on the tables.
The u12 boys have the largest number of entrants and competition is fierce at the top of the table between Daniel Lloyd, Alfie Salmon and Owen Prenelle. Daniel has a three point lead over Alfie with Owen making a fierce bid, despite having competed in one less race than the two leaders. The mountain bike race on Saturday was very close between Daniel and Owen – with Owen winning from a decisive move in the final lap.
Eleanor Bolton (u12), Carys Lloyd (u10) and Anna Lloyd (u8) are clear leaders in the girls competitions with maximum points from both the road race and mountain bike races. Ava Ferguson is second in the u12s, Isabel Nyman and Rebecca Gardiner are battling it out for second in the u10s and Anna finally has some u8 competition from Emily Duckworth.
Noah Haycraft is leading the u10 boys, followed by Owen Kreisky who has two mountain bike victories in his points. Ethan Leslie is top of the u8 boys table, again with two mountain bike victories, followed by Jame Oates.
If you’ve never tried racing before come along and give it a go and try for some points. The next race will be the Alan Rosner Memorial on Easter Monday – March 28th. The final two races in the series will be on April 30th and June 18th. Each race has medals and certificates for the top three riders in each category, plus the top ten LVYCC riders in each category at the end of the series will receive 30p a point in prize money.
