  • As you know there is no club this Saturday. However there is just the SMALL matter of the Olympics Road Race starting at 10am. Keep your eyes peeled as there are at least 5 of us marshalling the route – we re easily identified, we have the purple and red uniform! (Its true but there are going to be approximately a 1000 of us out there!

The next Super Track session is 1st September. Please confirm to Kate if you want to go on this session by 22nd September. Report from last session: Greater usage of the track & trackside and prompt time keeping is quickly progressing the standard of riding & enjoyment for all. The riders seem to have abetter understanding of the Track Super Club goal & basic track session etiquette too which can only bode well for the future. Area for improvement Nomination/Attendance – Numbers were significantly down on nominations & although we had a number apologies due to illness & broken bones there were a few of riders who clearly couldn’t come & knew in advance. The non-attendance practically wiped out one coaching group which is unfair on the coach who has given up their time to be there. We have a number of clubs knocking on the door wanting to come to these sessions & if/when they join the Super Club sessions rider nominations for each club could become limited so please stress to your riders the value of their place. Nominations for the next round close Friday 24th. August. Bear in mind it’s Bank Holiday weekend & last full week of school hols for most riders so they may be away. Even if you have previously indicated riders will be coming please check with them & respond with a fresh list.
