May 16, 2012 There will be round 3 of our Road Circuit Summer Series this Saturday, first race for the under 8s at 9.45am.
Club will still operate but for off-road riding only.

May 11, 2012 Normal club this Saturday. Although there will be less coaches than normal we anticipate coaching for both road and off-road.
5 of our riders competed in the 1st of the Southern Region Track Omniums at Welwyn Wheelers. Our riders did very well, especially against some fearsome competition.
Francesca Morgans-Slader came 6th in the U16 girls and Bryony Board came a very creditable 12th (her first omnium). In the u14 boys Cameron Gutteridge came 7th (also his first omnium) and James Ambrose-Parish 10th. In the U12 boys Simon Bird came did us proud by coming 4th.
A very enjoyable day as the weather stayed fine all day and was even hot on a number of occasions!

May 11, 2012 The UK School Games took place this last week, with road races at Hog Hill Monday and Tuesday before transferring to the Olympic Velodrome for a day of track racing. Eastern region did well and our own Francesca Morgans-Slader was one of the 4 girl Eastern team. She came 10th in the rain-soaked 35km road race. Full results HERE. May 11, 2012 I’ve just heard from Steve Jensen to say that the police have recovered Georg’s bike that was stolen last Saturday. Steve wishes me to thank everyone for their help and support.

May 3, 2012 Saturday sees round 2 of our successful Summer Series. Racing starts at 9.45am with the Under 8 riders. We are likely to separate the Under 14 and Under 16 races this time as well as the Under 10 and Under 12 races.
Marshals/stewards are required as usual – you’re help will be much appreciated and makes for safer racing for the competitors. If your children are racing this is often a good way to also watch the races!
Due to the road racing club morning will be Off-road only.
WARNING
Look after your bikes and kit! Also don’t leave valuables on display in the car park. BE VIGILANT!
