Club re-starts this Saturday – 4th September 2010

Date September 1, 2010

Hi everyone. Hope you had a great summer break and did lots of interesting things.  Any holiday stories and pictures you want to go here on the website – please send them to me at terry@lvycc.co.uk

Now the really exciting news – club restarts this Saturday the 4th September. We look forward to seeing you all.

In the eNewsletter that came out yesterday I said that the cost of bike hire has gone up – well I was only part right!! The good news is that Saturday bike hire is still the same as it was. However if you have a bike on long term hire then it’s the bad news for you, I’m afraid. Long term hire is increasing to £5 per week with effect from the 4th September – and that also applies to bikes already out on hire – I understand. If you have a bike on hire and want to check  your costs then contact Peter Bennett at welfare@lvycc.co.uk

The Redbridge Youth Team came first in their event  and the combined Redbridge Team came second overall in the cycling event. Click here for more information and pictures of the teams.

Well done to everyone who took part (and apologies if I have missed anyone out!)  in all the borough teams – you were great representatives of our club.

Latest 4X results:

Last weekend the whole circus arrived at Redhill Extreme near the Forest of Dean for Round 3 of the British 4x Series. This is many of the riders favourite track with it’s fast sweeping corners , big jumps and challenging grass flat track turns to sort out the faint hearted. Isaac has won three out of four previous appearances here and came good again on Sunday to make it four out of five.

Isaac’s next event is the Dual Slalom competition at Bike Radar Live, Brands Hatch, July 10th and 11th. Isaac is entered for both the Pro and Junior classes, to be raced on Saturday and Sunday respectively. Following that, Round 4 of the 4X series is at PORC in Kent last weekend in July.

You can keep up to date with the 4X season HERE.

Well done Isaac. Congratulations on the results so far and good luck in the remaining rounds.
