February 2, 2010 LCCA Team Championships take place on Saturday 14th February at Great Walstead School, East Mascalls Lane,
Lindfield, Haywards Heath, West Sussex, RH16 2QL.
Bruce Mackie is co-ordinating the team entries for the club.Our riders did well last Sunday at the Eastern cyclo-cross team championships so we are looking for teams for this the last cyclo-cross event of the season. The teams are not limited to youngsters – we had a Vets team last week, why not join them on the 14th??
For entries and further information contact Bruce soon. Entries have to be in by the 7th February.

January 31, 2010 A great day for LVYCC at Danbury for the end of season Eastern Region Team Championships. We had a total of 4 teams entered and two riders in a composite team. There was the Vets, the Youth and 2 teams in the Under 12 category.
The under 12 A team came home in first position – well done to Callum, James, Georg and Felix. Congratulations also to Matthew Madgwick who took third place in the overall league. Everyone deserves praise for a such a good club showing.

January 27, 2010 Saturday 30th January
Normal club morning this Saturday.
There will be road, off-road and cyclocross riding and instruction.
Off-roaders fancy some competition? Try your hand at cyclo-cross. You don’t have to have a special bike – many competitors use their mountain bikes. It’s great fun and not very technical for the Under10s and Under 12s.
Sunday 31st January
Eastern Region Team Cyclo-Cross Championships at Danbury, Chelmsford.
We have a Youth team and a Veterans team entered already. We are trying to get an Under10/12 team. As we can enter a team on the day talk to Tony on Saturday if you would like to enter as part of the LVYCC team. The Youth race is at 11 o’clock and the Under12 race is at 12 o’clock. Presentation of awards will be after all the races at approximately 3pm. The location is: Danbury Outdoors, Well Lane, Danbury, CM3 4AB
Monday 1st February
The second in a series of four club turbo training evenings at Hog Hill. 6.45 – 7.45pm. Great value at £3 per session. Why not come along and join us.

Some of our cyclocross riders will be heading to Mistley in North Essex for the last round of the Eastern Cyclocross league. Plus we have riders taking part in the London League at Wilmington on the same day. Report and pictures on Cyclocross page.

Hog Hill will also be hosting an EC-CA Cyclo-Cross Youth Squad training session that morning. A good opportunity for those not riding offroad or road circuit to see what cyclocross is all about and the Eastern region’s top youth riders!!

January 16, 2010 Round 6 takes place Sunday 17th January 2010 at Rutland Water.
Good luck to our riders competing there: James & Matthew Madgwick in the U14s and Bruce Mackie representing us in the Vets’
UPDATE. James and Matthew did us proud coming in 45th and 46th out of a field of over 50 riders.Bruce was comfortably in the middle of the pack after 2 laps in his race but then got a mechanical and had to drop out.
